This is how Lebanese Taxi drivers meet in traffic
Do not disturb.
Today, on Twitter, the most hilarious thing happened. @CrimsonBeirut noticed something weird while walking in Hamra and posted a picture:
This has to be the best thing I have seen in Lebanon in decades! I saw traffic and pedestrian lights badly synchronized (both green at the same time, as in “Licensed to kill pedestrians” in France) but never anything like that!
In all major cities, I realized that pedestrians rarely take into account the lights when crossing the streets; (the worst I have seen was in New York so far). We’re not doing any better in Beirut!
I started wondering if this is really by mistake or an implicit message for pedestrians. Oh my! We can make up a million puns around this picture!
Awesome capture @CrimsonBeirut!
