Babington’s Tea Rooms and Antico Caffè Greco in Rome, Italy

This place is a charming English tea room in Rome. It was founded in 1893 by two English women at a time when tea was still sold in the pharmacy. Babington’s proposes all kinds of tea from all around the around the world. If you are in the area, do not forget to pass by.

This is where I had my hot chocolate. In the same place where Stendhal, Goethe, Bertel Thorvaldsen, Mariano Fortuny, Byron, Franz Liszt, Keats, Henrik Ibsen, Hans Christian Andersen, Felix Mendelssohn and María Zambrano have had their coffee. (Just to name a few). This is the second oldest coffee place of Italy. It opened in 1760!
