Lebanon Traveler: A new magazine in town

I noticed a new magazine being distributed in Virgin Megastores: Lebanon Traveler, “a publication of Hospitality Services in a joint venture with Beyond Beirut” with the help of USAID. 56 pages with very little advertising and a lot of content and pictures in English that will be distributed for around LBP 5000 and published quarterly but issue 0 is available for free.

The magazine not only talks about the different regions in Lebanon, what to do and what to visit there but also gives exposure to local hosts, crafts, gastronomy and events.

After reading it, I felt like a tourist in my own country. There is a lot I did not know about. I noticed that some of the photos looked awkward, so I would recommend the magazine to make sure they are using high resolution pictures and to double check that they look good in printing because they are one of the key attractions. There are a lot of gifted Lebanese landscape photographers that could help as well.

Did anyone read it yet? What do you think of this initiate?
