In 14 April 2010, I got an email from Smirnoff announcing me as their competition winner. A day I won’t forget. They tried to fly me to Canada, but it did not work…A few months later, they tried to fly me to London, but it did not work either. (More about this here: My misfortune with Smirnoff)
For a while, I thought I was unlucky! It is so frustrating to win something that you can’t claim for a reason or another especially a big prize like attending the Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project event in a country you have never visited before.
After the second failed attempt, I had lost all hope. And then, on August 26, I get an email saying: ” I just wanted to send you a quick note to let you know that Smirnoff have not forgotten about you!“. They were actually looking into an alternative prize for me.
“Smirnoff have not forgotten about you! “
I’m flying to the USA all the way from Lebanon to be there: the New York edition – Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project! This time it worked! They could have said: “Sorry, there is nothing more we can do.” But, they didn’t! I am amazed that there is a company like that. I am amazed that they kept following up with me for 6 months! I am amazed for the perseverance they showed and how nice they were all the way. I am AMAZED! RESPECT! Rare are the companies who would treat competition winners like that. Some companies even mistreat their own loyal customers!
So many companies could learn from Smirnoff. They are a great and I couldn’t think any less of them. They really went for the “extra mile”!
I have 3 companies to thank:
THANK YOU FOR NOT GIVING UP ON ME!
It happened to me; it could happen to you too!! Just keep up with Smirnoff’s news and updates wherever you are and you never know, you might be next!
So what’s up for the New York edition of Smirnoff Nightlife Project? I did some research and this is a part of an article I found on marketwire.com:
